Balancing assay throughput with physiological relevance is essential for improving disease modelling and compound screening in preclinical drug development. Induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology has revolutionised early drug discovery by integrating human biology, enhancing predictions of drug safety and efficacy. However, achieving both scalability and consistency in high-throughput applications remains challenging.

In this webinar, Ncardia introduces industry-leading solutions, which streamline high-throughput screening while maintaining physiological relevance. At the core of this innovation is Ncyte® Heart in a Box™, a physiologically relevant 3D cardiac microtissue seamlessly integrated into automated high-throughput workflows.

In addition to advancing cardiotoxicity studies, this model can be implemented in cardiac disease research. Together with Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC), we will describe the development of a 3D cardiac microtissue model of catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT). This case study demonstrates how the platform can be leveraged to advance cardiac drug screening, providing insights into its translational potential and impact on drug discovery.

Key takeaways:

- Explore the benefits of utilising 10-billion-cell batches of Ncyte® vCardiomyocytes to enhance workflow efficiency and minimise revalidation efforts.
- Discover Ncyte® Heart in a Box™, a 3D cardiac microtissue designed for 384-well plate formats, enabling the screening of 1,500 compounds per day.
- • Learn how Ncardia can support researchers automating and scaling cardiotoxicity and disease modelling in vitro studies in 3D.
